Remote Online Notary Begins

After 3-years of working to bring Remote Online Notary (RON) to Florida, Florida Notaries will soon be able to expand their practice to include this opportunity.

In order to become a RON, one will first need to take a course to become a standard notary, acquire minimum standards and complete the application with the Governor’s office.

Once approved and registered with the Department of State, the commissioned notary will then be able to apply for RON once additional education steps (2-hour course) have been taken and the applicant acquires the minimum bond and insurance standards.

FLTA will be a provider of the 2-hour course and the course will be available soon as a result of last week’s Rule Workshop.
