Wednesday January 30, 2019, Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer declared a state of emergency over the state’s dropping temperatures.
So, what’s the emergency?
It was freezing outside. Actually, it was way below freezing – temperatures dipped into the negatives for much of the Northern Lower Peninsula, and wind chills got to negative 40 degrees. That combined with lake effect snow and poor road conditions across Leelanau and Grand Traverse Counties. The polar vortex caused defeat as the Post Office could not uphold their completion motto “neither rain nor snow”. Schools, banks, corporations and government jobs were also shut down but not Access Title.
The Access Title Team acted quickly, reaching out to all parties involved who had scheduled closings before the polar vortex hitting the area. With everyone determine to not let the storm win, Patrick completed two successful closings in two different offices. Our clients were beyond satisfied with our determination to give them the service that all our customers deserve.
